My sweet niece got baptized in August. Savannah worships the ground she walks on. We love Kailey boo to pieces. When she was Savannah's age she would spend the weekends with us. We are so proud of the choices she has made, and for the example she has set for her cousin. Love you Kailey boo...
This elk was seriously this close to our car.. all i did was open the window and snap the picture. My husband of course got out of the car, to go and take pictures of some more elk and when he started back towards the car this lovely lady got quite mad at him..it was hilarious and scary all at the same time. Savannah did not like the stinkpots...in fact when we got out of the car, she asked if there was something in the trunk to plug our noses..when i said no, she said we should stop and buy something. So hilarious. This fall we made a quick trip to Yellowstone Park. It was the first time Savannah had been into the park, and was the first time she had seen Old Faithful. I love going to Yellowstone.
This is Bella the cats' ornament. Bella ran away earlier this year and when Savannah pulled this bell out of the box, she said, Oh my Bella.. she loved this ornament. We will hang in on the tree.. at the bottom. She loves to play with it. Maybe she will come back if she hears it." This year we started a new tradition. When we put up the Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving, we have also started making homemade pizza. It was so much fun to watch Savannah's excitment. She could barely contain herself when Nate went downstairs to get the tree, and was thrilled to put up the ornaments. She decorated the tree, with most of the ornaments gathered together in one spot. We left it that way, and then a few days later, she helped me spread it all out. Christmas is magical when you have little ones. I am loving the holiday season more than usual, and I pretty sure it has to do with a certain little munchkin. :0)
I am playing a little catch-up and just wanted to share what we did for halloween this year. Savannah was really into the whole idea of getting candy this year, and it was the first time we had ever taken her door to door. We also went to Boo at the Zoo, carved pumpkins, visited the pumpkin patch, and I feverishly worked on her Tinkerbell costume until the last second..
Every year, the day after Thanksgiving, we like to go to a special spot on the Snake River and take our family photo. This is the same spot(well close to) where Nathan proposed..so long ago. ;0) so... if i don't get my Christmas cards sent.. here you go. hehehehe!!!
well... i suppose i should update the blog! seriously how did i get this far behind?? I thought about going back through the whole summer, and then i got discouraged, so i thought i would just start with today, and move forward. I am hoping to get blog posts up more often, now that life is back on a schedule of sorts.
