so, on my facebook page i've been tagged oh 5 times to do this, so i though oh what the heck, i'll post it on my blog as well...

1- I have an obsession with new colored pencils and crayons. I love them, but I don't like them after they are dull. I know weird.

2- I wish I still wrote everyday like I did in high school. I feel like I've lost some of my writing talent, and it's definately something i want to work on. OHHH newspaper days..I miss you (okay not really all that much)

3- I love the way paper smells, and getting new paper for scrapbooking. I like some of it so much, I have a very difficult time using it.

4- I hate kool-aid and most juice drinks in general.

5- I want to paint my bedroom a color, but i can't make up my mind what to do.

6- I have broken my nose 4 times, had 4 concussions, and broken my toe 2 times. yes I am slightly clumsy. :0)

7- I would like to go back to school and get my masters degree in administration or early childhood education.

8-I have a new love: Carmel Bugles.. not a good one. someone stop me! :0)

9- My feet grew a size and a half when I was pregnant, then shrunk a size after savannah was born.

10- I am emotional. too emotional sometimes for my husband and even myself... I wear my heart on my sleeve.

11-I love Christmas music. I think I could listen to it all year long.

12- I enjoy decorating for the seasons.

13- I do not understand anyones love for Mountain Dew. or basically anything aside from Diet Pepsi

14- I am slightly competative, but don't really like playing games.

15- I tore both tendons in both of my feet while trying out for ninth grade basketball. I was on crutches for 2 weeks and a walking cast on my right foot for almost 9 months.

16- I miss the days when we used to write oldfashioned letters instead of emails.

17- give me anything with peanut butter and chocolate and I'm happy.

18- I'm a germaphobic. I sanatize way too much, and have a slight touch of OCD.

19- Orange pop makes me sick to my stomach.

20- I love to bake,but i hate the dreaded... what's for dinner. I do much better if I plan a menu ahead of time.

21- I am usually warm, I don't like the heat turned up, and even in the winter I have been known to have a fan going.

22-I love garage saling, and having a garage sale. Every year I have one to buy new school clothes and things for my classroom.

23- I am a disorganized, organizer.. I like to have things organized, but I'm not really neat about it. (drives my hubby crazy)

24- I hate matching an folding socks.

25- I am excited our lab is having puppies, but I can't be at home when they are sold. I feel like I need to do background checks, and all sorts of things before someone buys them. I have a tender heart when it comes to animals.

well there you have it. if you feel like doing this, go right ahead. I thought it was kind of hard, but good to do.

ode to a four day weekend...

this past weekend was delightful. for most of it. Saturday was spent in west yellowstone in honor of our anniversary last week. we honeymooned there and try to make it up each year around this time. i love going up there and how beautiful it is, quiet too. the best time to go if you ask me. miss. savannah went with us on our grand adventure, and was honestly (not that i'm biased) the best little girl. ohhh i could have just squeezed her a thousand times. maybe i did. :0)
then sunday came, and so did my throbbing headache, ear ache, sore throat and just being nasty in general..then monday, no change.. doctor, shot, sleep. meet tuesday, sleep, rest, tv, playing with miss. savannah..oh despite being eww sick, i love being at home with my girl. do you think it's too early to count down to summer break?? maybe i should just start with spring break.

does anyone else have the winter blaas...i'm feeling it. i am loving the fact that the roads aren't soo slick, but hating the cold and the overcast skies.. i want spring to come.. tulips, green grass, and being able to take nightly walks..and the litter of pups we are anxiously waiting for, a new nephew (the first boy),a trip to oklahoma, and so much more..
oh spring hurry fast..i need you.

4 years

today is our anniversary. we have been married for 4 years.but it seems like we have known each other for forever. we met at the singles ward, that both of us swore we would never go to. all our lives we have lived 5 miles away from each other, and in the same stake and had never met. I am eternally grateful for a mother who told me i was going to the singles ward or else...:0)
I love my hubby more than words can express. he is an amazing man and a devoted father and husband.

2 How long have you been together? We have been married for 4 years and dated for 6 months
3 How long did you know each other before you started dating? A month or so…
4 Who asked who out? He asked me.. we went for a ride up to palasades.
5 How old are each of you? Nate is 28, I’m 27
6 Whose siblings do you see the most? His, because mine lives in oklahoma
7 Do you have any children together? Miss. savannah
8 What about pets? Hallie- Black (crazy) Lab Bella-the cat (not named after twilight, but Princess Bella.. long story)
9 Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple? Money. That has been a test for us, but as the years go by, we understand each other more, and it has gotten a lot easier…

12 Who is the smartest? I think we are both about the same.. he sometimes has way more common sense than I do.
13 Who is the most sensitive? me… no contest.
14 Where do you eat out most as a couple? Does our dining room table count??? We like to try all different places.. but his favorite is definitely stockmans and mine is plum loco

17 Who does the cooking? Me, well okay I can’t say that, since savannah and with us both working, it is usually a shared responsibility, and on the weekends he usually does.

19 Who is the neat Freak? Neither of us really, but I am becoming more of one now that we have savannah.
20 Who is the more stubborn? Depends on the situation. We both have our moments.
21 Who hogs the bed? Him… till I shove him over..
22 Who wakes up earlier? Usually him. Because he gets up with Savannah at 6 and lets me sleep till 6:30.

24 Who has the bigger family? Definitely nate.
25 Do you get flowers often? Not unless they can be planted outside..which is great.a garden full of memories.. awh…
26How do you spend the holidays?
With both families on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The 4th of July is usually with friends or with my family.
27 How long did it take to get serious? 2.5 seconds.. okay not really.. a month or so.
28 Who does the laundry? Me. Nate helps me fold the laundry when he can’t stand it sitting around anymore.. j/k
29 Who’s better with the computer? Toss up..we both have our skills..
30 Who drives when you are together? Nate. I feel weird driving with him in the car.. I only drive after he’s had surgery or something.

i love these two

with valentine's day so close, and the long weekend coming, I just wanted to say how much I love these two and how grateful i am to have them in my life.
here are just a few (cuz i could never write them all) of the reasons i love nate:
1- he is an amazing father.. watching him with savannah warms my heart
2- he cooks or cleans up whenever i am slacking or i've had a busy day.
3- he provides for our family to the best of his ability.
4-he honors his priesthood.
5- he watches chick flicks ( and likes most of them)
6-he irons his own shirts.
7- he always knows what i need.
8- he knows how to make me laugh.
9- he's a whole lot better with money than i am. hes the saver.. i'm the spender.
10- he is always willing to help me with projects for school, church or whatever.

here are a few reasons i love savannah banana:
1- she is the smartest baby in the world..seriously.. okay i haven't proven it, but we are a little bias..so definately the smartest.
2- she loves to laugh, and i love to laugh with her.
3-she loves to read.
4-she sleeps for most of the night.
5-she loves to eat
6- she is very content.. unless teething or sick.
7-she is a cuddle bug and gives big wet kisses
8- she lets me do her hair without much fuss.
9- she loves to go for rides in the car.
10- she's mine and she's perfect

all in all i love them both to the moon and back +2 X 3 billion

this post is for my friend, who is absolutely amazing.. miss. jess. She is getting married in may and wanted to see my sisters wedding pictures to see if she likes the photographer. I am so excited for miss jess.. we are like two peas in a pod.. never mind our names are the same, but so much of us is the same, and i wish her all the happiness in the world. she truly is the best ever.

oh and my sis and tj.. they are the greatest as well.. they are in oklahoma city right now completing dental school. they were not directly hit by the recent tornados.. thank heavens..we miss them dearly.

i heart candy

we have a candy drawer at our house. i know shame on us. but with nathans current job the past six years as a candy buyer..we just can't help it. savannah has recently discovered it's goodness. she doesn't eat any of it, just likes the shiny wrappers..
the funny thing about this candy drawer... we never eat from it unless desperate.. usually, nieces,friends kids and anyone else visiting are invited to enjoy the goodness of this drawer. so if you are desperate, or just plain have a craving.. come on over..we probably have something to suit your fancy.

scrapbooking

i thought i would share a few of the pages i completed recently. since all i usually talk about is savannah and our totally exciting life...:0) I thought i would share what i have been working on. the lighting isn't the best but.. here goes..
the first one isn't a page i've been doing, but a page of valentines that i found on two peas in a bucket. they are so cute and have the to and from on the back. they come 12 to a 12X12 piece of paper. they are for my kids at school, and the extra i am framing for a valentines decoration.

toothers

savannah as a tooth.. just one, but just one makes us so happy...okay now that it finally broke through we are happy. the night it came was not very pretty considering she had also just had imunizations...

another tag.

the letter T. in this tag i am to write down ten things i love that start with the letter T.

1-Teaching. I absolutely love it. despite the politics and the budget cuts that we are about to endure, I love the kids, and that my friends is what is it all about. their success.

2-Tacos. a major passion of mine. I can make them about 10 different ways.. just ask my hubby who doesn't have the same passion. :0)

3-Tap Dancing. okay.. so i haven't done this in a few years, but as a kid and teenager. I loved it.

4-time alone. this doesn't happen very often.. okay if ever, but even 10 minutes sometimes is all i need to rejuvinate, but time alone to scrapbook. that would be...oh words can not express.

5-temples. I love going to the temple, driving by the temple, and just the amazing beauty that they have. just love it.

6-talking. I am a major jabber jaws. I talk when i should be working. I love public speaking. talk talk talk..so look out. :0)

7-temper tantrums... savannah style. it's just too funny. the pouty lip, the folded arms. way too cute.

8-tetons.. or just the mountains in general, but tetons started with T. :0) I have been to the top of the tetons, and it's amazing and georgous, but I love the mountains regardless. the smell when you wake up in the morning after camping.. mmmm.

9-tub time.. for savannah. she loves it and love watching and playing with her while she has so much fun. what i love most.. her daddy is the one who usually bathes her, so i have a half hour to clean up, relax or do whatever i please. delightful.

10-Trying times. I don't love them, but I am thankful for them. I'm thankful that they remind you of what is truly important in life and that they bring you closer to the ones you love.

at a crossroads

so we have reached the point where miss.savannah no longer really likes baby food, but doesn't like the texture in real food and has ZERO teeth. I really don't think she should only eat goldfish crackers, yogurt, yogurt bites and baby cheese puffs. so if you have any ideas...i am more than willing to try almost anything..
