pumpkin patch

A week ago we took savannah to the pumpking patch to pick out her very first pumpkin. She loved watching all the kids and when we set her in a pile of pumpkins she picked one up, and that is the one she took home. She wasn't much in the mood for pictures but we took a few anyway.

Also just last night Savannah crawled for the first time. It was terrific. She was so proud of herself, and then this morning she was a crawling maniac..so exciting and so much work.

savannah's first halloween

Here is our sweet little lady bug on halloween morning. Believe it or not she loved her costume and every time we took off her wings and antena she would cry.. She was a great sport and went to visit daddy at work, grandpa at work and even had lunch with great grandma.

Later that night, she raided mommy and daddy's candy for tricker treaters, and then went to grandma and grandpas for dinner and a movie. By the end of the night, she was tuckered out.

What a great first halloween.

it must run in the family...

so even though I don't have my halloween pictures with me, I do have this picture....

my sweet girl, hanging out in the craft room with mama...while mama actually begins some work on savannah's scrapbook. She found herself a piece of paper, and got crafty... (well if you consider ripping a piece of paper into 5000 pieces crafty). but she does love hanging out in the craft room with me and always admires my finished projects.
what a sweet heart.

halloween at our house

so.... I promised aunt becca some great pictures of miss. savannah...which I have..too bad my camera is in the diaper bag at grandma's house. tomorrow... I promise!! :0)
all in all Savannah's first halloween was great. It was a wonderful weekend. I will say more tomorrow when i have the pictures for the stories..

just some pictures.

The first picture is of savannah thinking about crawling. We are pretty sure that any day now she will start. She has figured out how to go from her belly to sitting up. The second picture is last sunday when she was all ready for church.
The last two are from our walk last week. We finally took a picture in front of our house ( grassless and all) and sweet savannah is wearing her stylish new coat from grandma d. What a sweetie.
I have also been working on Savannah's baby book. I am going to figure out how to post some of my layouts and stuff.
Oh aunt becca if you read this... thanks for the great package. Savannah's head is too big for the pumpkin but i make her wear it anyway...

a good weekend

This past weekend was an especially good weekend at our house, for starters no one had the stomach flu and everyone was happy.
On saturday, nate helped his dad finish siding their house, while savannah and I cleaned the house and then spent the rest of the day in the craft room. It was gloriou, my baby and all my scrapbooking supplies. I finally got savannah's book started and I am way excited to keep it going. Savannah loves it of course, because she can look at pictures of herself.
Sunday we went for a long ride, we haven't been up to Palasades in almost a year, and we decided to take the banana and load up for a long sunday drive. It was beautiful and peaceful. Savannah and Nate threw rocks in the water. Talk about exciting and I got some great photos of the two of them.
We then decided to continue up to Star Valley Cheese.. a place my family and I used to go when we were little, but they were closed. Bummer...
All in all it was a glorious weekend.
I love my little family.
pictures to come tomorrow... my camera is at home!

ahh the joys of a teething infant

well I believe the time has finally come that savannah is actually teething.. .cross your fingers. She is almost nine and a half months and doesn't have a single tooth. super cute toothless smile, but none the less.. we would like some teeth around here. She has been extremely fussy.. especially at about 3 am. delightful. regardless of the fact I am getting less sleep, I somewhat enjoy sitting up with her and rocking her. She has gotten so big and has such a personality.

At her nine month check up her stats were:

29 1/2 inches tall

22 lbs.

in the 90% percentile for both height and weight.

saying da da

and grandma swears she says izzie( grandma's dogs name)

trying to crawl

just plain happy ( except at three in the morning)

so if anyone has any good teething ideas.... we could use them..
