dancing girl

savannah loves to dance and since she's been potty trained, she loves to dance nakie as she calls it. she runs around the house in her panties and tu-tu for hours dancing. so cute. and great blackmail for when she's sixteen don't you think.
we sure do love this girl.
just recently a family in our little town lost their 18 month old in a drowning accident. it has really put things in perspective for me. I am so grateful for my little family and my fiesty two year old. We are so blessed. If you want to read more about this family you can go to patrickandashley.blogspot.com. They are amazing. Their faith is solid and they know they will see their sweet girl again. I am so grateful for the gospel and forever families.
i am more grateful for the simple moments and the trying moments with savannah now. I am taking more time with her, and just enjoying being together. life can change in an instant.

sorry it's been so long

alit's been awhile since i've updated the good old blog, our computer's drive has been broken and we finally got it fixed so i can upload pictures again. so expect a few posts this week to get things caught up. our summer has been full of fun stuff.
last weekend we took savannah to the zoo as a reward for being "mostly" potty trained. she loved it, but wanted to see elephants and girafees so... a trip to slc might be in order.

nearing the end

the end of the school year is almost here for me. 8 days and counting. so if you don't hear from me for a couple of weeks, things are crazy busy. Due to budget cuts our elementary school is being closed down and we are being condensed into 2 schools, therefore my classroom must be completely packed up by monday the 24th. Wahoo.. i hate packing.. but at least i still have a job.
i am super excited to have the summer off and to do all those projects i have piling up. we are also planting grass, putting up a fence, doing flower beds, and building a shop so things should stay pretty busy.
in the next few days i will be posting a few of the projects i'm excited to do.. if you wanna join in. let me know.
oh and any of you who go to playgroups.. let me know when and where.. i'd love to be more involved this summer.

just because...

she's such a cutie.. i can't wait to be at home.

this is what we've been up to latetly. dirt and rocks. a two year olds heaven and a mothers nightmare..
soon enough there will be grass, that is if the wind the past two days, didn't blow it all away

easter activities

we've had a wonderful Easter Sunday. enjoying conference, dyeing easter eggs, making cinnamon rolls, seeing family, trying out our new automatic dora toothbrush, eating tons of sugar before nine a.m. and the easter bunny visited. It doesn't get much better than this. (especially because the little one is now completely warn out and tuckered out...ahh nap time.)

blast off

couple of weekends ago we went to blast off for our nephews first birthday..it was great. (i had my doubts) I'm a germaphobic soo letting savannah loose on all those toys that a million kids had touched was hard for me, but i found out that she is quite adventurous and wanted to go everywhere.. especially the big kid toys. She had a wonderful time and went into complete meltdown when we had to leave.
