holiday crafting

every year i find about a thousand things on line that i want to make or do.. every year... I probably do one or two of those things. This year is no exception, especially since Savannah is getting her tonsils out next Wednesday. I am sure that most of my Christmas Crafting time will be spent snuggling and watching barbie or princesses :0), but i thought i'd show off what I'm liking.

thankful

the past few weeks i've been struggling.
so today i decided for the month of November I need to look at the little details in my life and find things to be grateful for.

So today..I am grateful for my parents. In the past few weeks several things have happened in our family, and I am grateful for their strong examples. I am thankful that they only live moments away, and that I can lean on them when I really need to.
I am thankful for my mom, and the service she provides me each day by watching Miss. Savannah. I am eternally grateful for this.
I am thankful for my dad, and his quick sense of humor and that he can make any bad situation look good.
All in all, I love my parents very much.

I updated the blog. six new posts below!!!

the punkinin hat

I told savannah she had to wear a hat the other morning when we left for grandma's house because she had wet hair. I put this hat on her.
She said, "uh.. not dat hat. it's orange."
I said, "what is bad about orange? "
"it's a punkin, and i a big girl. big girls don't wear punkin hats." She said with hands on hips.
I said, "But Aunt Becca sent it to you."
She said, "Aunt Becca Crazy. She my best friend."
I asked, "So you want to wear the hat?"
giant sigh
"Yes."
I said, "Let's take a picture so Aunt Becca can see your hat."
She said, "Yes."
I snap picture.
She says, " Aunt becca in the camera??"

oh what a sweet and sassy girl.

fly in.

savannah took a spill and was covered in mud. she didn't mind though, until it was time to go, and then she had to be washed up before she could get in the truck.

every year, my dads flying club hosts a remote controlled airplane flyin in Alpine. It is always in the fall, and we always go. The colors of the leaves, the water, everything about it is beautiful. This year was no exception.
We spent our time watching grandpa fly, watching daddy fly, riding the four wheeler, throwing rocks in the lake, getting muddy, watching sheep, and eating great food.
We also went to grandpa's flyin at 7-N ranch this fall. Savannah got to go camping with grandma and grandpa while I went to school, and then the next day begged to go back up. It was a beautiful fall day, and we enjoyed ourselved.

princess belle

it's true.. savannah is a princess this year. She chose belle. her favorite. She loves wearing her costume and will wear it for several days in a row. She would probably live in it if I allowed her. What a sweetie. When we went to our ward trunk or treat she had talked about it all day ,but when we arrived she got very shy and would only whisper trick or treat. She wanted mommy or daddy to hold her or be right next to her the whole time. She told me several times, all those udder kids are spooky. She has such a tender heart.
