reading

Savannah has a definate love of reading. She can spend hours looking at the books on her shelf and quite often asks to be read to, or asks, "Mama, what does this say?" She loves to visit the library or the bookstore.
On this day, I was busy cleaning up the kitchen and could hear her talking, so I went into the living room and found her reading to her barbies.
I hope her love of reading continues for many many years.

Savannah @ 3

Well Miss. Savannah has been three for almost three weeks, though sometimes i think she is three going on twenty-five. :0)

Here are some fun facts about Savannah

*loves to talk. talks nonstop (i don't know where she got this from) She is saying words like delicious, hilarious, rediculous, and actually. She uses them correctly as well.

*has a great sense of humor. When she watches a movie, she laughs at parts of the movie that are funny. She loves to tease us, and quite often finds something to laugh at or thinks something is hilarious!

*has finally decided that going number 2 in the potty is a good idea. she mastered nmber 1 a long time ago, but we are so happy that she finally decided number 2 was a good idea as well. ( i know that is something you really wanted to know)

*is branching out in her choices of food. Last Saturday, she actually tried spagetti-o's and peanut butter and jelly. Major accomplishment seriously!! Since getting her tonsils out she has really decided that food is good!!

* loves to help, whether it is cooking, doing laundry, dusting, moping, you name it, she is in on the action. I think its time to start giving her a few little chores to complete.

* knows how to use electronic devises rather well. She can navigate my droid phone better than I can.

* LOVES LOVES LOVES sunbeams. This was a huge concern for us, as we have been her nursery leaders from day one, but she loves it. Can hardly wait for Sundays.

*loves going to Grandma's house while I work. Asks me every morning if it is a Grandma day. I feel so blessed for her to have the opportunity to grow close to her grandparents, and I feel even more blessed that we have the option of her going there instead of daycare.

*is an artist. She loves to color, paint, draw, pretend to write, stamp.

*loves to dance. This fall I will be putting her in dance or gymnastics. She loves it.

*currently obsessed with: Disney Princesses, Barbie, Curious George, Dora, My Little Ponies, reading stories.

*She is very observant, and can do most things you ask her after you show her once. She loves puzzles, memory games, and anything else that makes her think.

*loves to go shopping. acts like she is fifteen or something, and picks out clothes and shoes and just absolutely loves going to town with "the girls"

*knows her alphabet and can identify some letters. She has been practicing writing her letters and numbers.

*her favorite snack before bed is popcorn and a glass of milk. She loves it and begs for it every night.

*is very tender hearted. If we raise our voices at her or she gets in trouble, she becomes hysterical in seconds. She also worries a great deal about those she loves including the animals around her.

*is simply a joy in our home. I can not imagine a second without her. Each day she amazes me. love you to pieces doodle bug.

sunbeam

Yesterday my baby went to Sunbeams. Ugh where has the time gone?? She was such a big girl too.. marched into Primary, picked out her own little chair, held her scripture case, and waved goodbye to me. She had the best time. Absolutely loved it. thank goodness.

Thanks to Aunt Becca for the Sunbeam Package. We love her new dress (which she's wearing in the pictures), her new scripture bag and Book of Mormon.
p.s. i've officially started a Savannah Art File Box. Her fun things from her first day in Sunbeams went in. soo much fun.

holiday crafting

every year i find about a thousand things on line that i want to make or do.. every year... I probably do one or two of those things. This year is no exception, especially since Savannah is getting her tonsils out next Wednesday. I am sure that most of my Christmas Crafting time will be spent snuggling and watching barbie or princesses :0), but i thought i'd show off what I'm liking.
