so i am not a fan of nature. at least not for the past few days. On Saturday, we anxiously awaited a litter of pups. Our lab had a litter a few years ago without any complications, well this one was totally different. Three vet visits later,( a nice vet bill), we have one little labradoodle. (google them, sooo cute). We lost two pups, and our lab is finally taking to our little dude.
all in all, sometimes nature is icky and i have vowed to not have another litter of pups.
but we are grateful that our sweet girl made it through this ordeal, and that at least one of her pups survived. We are excited to watch him grow. oh and our little dude is carmel colored, and our lab and the dad are both black... go figure.

So sweet! I think I'd have to keep him. What did you name him? Sorry about the rest of the litter. That's really sad. I think I'd be done with puppy breeding too.
Wow! Congratulations!! I'm sorry you lost the other puppies. Our cat had a litter of kittens once and they all died. I was done after that! It was SO SAD to watch!
Maybe if I can ever get the motivation to leave the house, I'll have to take my kids on a walk to see your new puppy. They would love it.
